World Water Day
We marked World Water Day today with a "Walk for Water" around the Fairfield. We completed this walk in solidarity with women and children around the world who must regularly walk up to six miles a day to fetch water to use in their homes.
First to Sixth class walked approximately 2.5 Kms with one or two litres of water in a bag on their backs. Everyone enjoyed themselves but many admitted they were tired afterwards and relieved they didn't have to do it in searing heat as children in other parts of the world must do!
